The Bad Psychiatrist Soundtrack is now streaming everywhere! Listen to 30 tracks, including 11 never before heard alternate and bonus tracks. It’s now streaming on Spotify, Apple Music and many other services.
When I took on the task of composing the music for Bad Psychiatrist — in addition to writing, directing, editing and acting — it might have seemed crazy. And it was. But it was also a great learning experience, as I’d never done a full soundtrack before. Now I know what goes into it. Each of these 30 distinct pieces took about a day to compose, some more. Although it was difficult, it was also really fun to play around with the music and see what I could come up with to enhance the scenes that I felt could use music. And I’ve heard from many of you that the music of Bad Psychiatrist is one of the things you like best about the film and that makes me really happy.
I want to thank a few collaborators who helped out with this — one being my sister Hanna Trabue who recorded a classical guitar duet with me for a scene that unfortunately didn’t make it into the final movie, ‘O Come, O Come, Emmanuel’, which I’m glad can now be heard. Also, Greg Oh played and recorded a beautiful cello solo for the track ‘Deep Dive’. I hope you enjoy!
